What is Stainless Steel 317lmn

What is stainless steel 317LMN, is that this is an austenitic stainless steel. SS 317LMN contains a higher amount of molybdenum in it and on top of that, it has been alloyed with nitrogen. Nitrogen is highly effective in enhancing the quality of stainless steel 317LMN and making it resistant to chemical attacks, crevice corrosion and pitting.  The nitrogen that is present in SS 317LMN, behaves like a strengthening agent and it gives stainless steel 317LMN a higher yield strength. 317LMN is a low carbon grade and as such, it is possible to use it in the as-welded condition.
